The Building
The Maharishi Peace Palace has been beautifully designed according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda principles. Its exterior incorporates the Vedic style of architecture. The nine Vedic arches standing in one row give the building a unique, elegant and majestic appeal.
The Site
The collective desire to have a venue where all members of the Transcendental Meditation family of Lebanon and the region gather to create coherence and peace on both individual and societal levels has been lingering since the 1980s. In 2006 these efforts resulted in the purchase of a piece of land in the Abey village in Mount Lebanon, comprising a total area 16,500 square meters.
The site is ideally located 22 km from Beirut, in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean at 800 meters – away from the hustle of everyday life in serene surroundings, however easily reachable with a 30 minutes drive.
The Master Plan
The eastern access to the land is on the right side. The Palace will be built in the inner area of the land, leaving all alleys free and offering easy access for the construction of later projects.
Construction Expenses
The overall expenses for the Palace, comprising over 4,000 square meters, are estimated at USD 4.4 million, based on a high standard of construction.
